Welcome to our page.
January 2013:
We are Sam& Danielle and own a small pack of Catahoulas. Previously located in the Netherlands.
Through the internet I found this remarkable breed. We had 2 dogs at that time, a 11 yr old Jack Russell Terrier female Didi and a 8 year old Bordeaux Dog Male Rosco. We wanted another breed. Medium large, energetic and independent.
After passing away of our Bordeaux dog, we started looking for a Catahoula. This was not easy in Europe. After almost 4 months we found a breeder in Czech. Republic. This breeder gave us the opportunity to buy our first Catahoula from her. Troy came in our life on April 4th 2008. With thanks to H. Koutkova of Kennel Besavej.
After a 8 months, on December 10th 2008 we got our 2e Catahoula Amy, bred in the Netherlands. She was a rescue female which needed a new home. She was 7,5 month when we got her. She and Troy were really close. We did not think about breeding at that time. Just wanted to enjoy, being active and trying to find out what they liked for dog sport.
Both dogs were hip tested when they were 12 months. Amy her results were really bad and my thoughts of starting a healthy breeding program began. So I did research in hip testing, Merle gene carrying and characters. I learned a lot about the Catahoula lines in USA and Europe. So that we knew which dogs, which lines we liked for our breeding program.
We did some international dog shows in conformation, and Troy did really well. We also got the opportunity to test our dogs in
B-Bay and Cowdog trail. They have the work instincts in them, which we think is really important to remain in this breed.
On October 31st 2009 our 3th Catahoula female Ziva was born. In Februari 2010 she came into our live. I picked her up at Windridge’s Farms Catahoulas, Nevada City, California. Thanks to Greg & Kristin Ludlum. Ziva would be our first female who we started our breeding program with. She and Troy produced a beautiful healthy litter of 8 pups in July 2011. From this litter we kept a female, our 4th Catahoula Abby.
We love our dogs and love the breed. We moved to Australia in January 2013 with these 4.
*Upate Jan 2020. Meanwhile we have lost our beloved Abby 09-01 2016, our beloved Amy 10-12-2018 and our magnificent Troy 31-12-2019. We have added to our pack Sally, daughter of Troy and Ziva born 2013, Willow granddaughter of Troy and Ziva born 2016 and Willow her daughter Raine born 2019.
Hope you enjoy our homepage!

Remember, the Catahoula is a working breed. It needs a "job". Not everyone needs a Catahoula.
